April 27, 2012- San Francisco, working towards a fast moving project’s completion by 2015. A giant 5 mile long water storage tube 11 miles under the San Francisco Bay is being carved out of the physical earth.
The tube would be able to withstand a major earthquake from the San Andreas or the Hayward Fault. Enough water for the millions, who without would be forced to flee the city. The current water storage system is old and would not handle the seismic vibrations.
