2013 Feb. to April Drought Outlook

Now the US is no stranger to drought conditions. With the West Coast (mainly California) experiencing an annual drought that last the majority of most years, 2013 is shaping up to have a bit more water than the previous year. With the rain that came across the country in the very early part of the year, came lots of snow to pack our Western mountain tops. Here is a link to the USA map shown below:

The map above shows that the majority of the west coast is not experiencing any current drought conditions. This should provide some extended relief before summers hot weather begins to dry out the west for fire season. Here is a prediction map locate on the same site as linked above:

Again as seen in the current drought condition map, this outlook for the next few months shows the majority of the West Coast avoiding any major drought conditions as we head into the Spring and Summer months.

Make sure to get those summer plants started inside until the frost has past!
